cant get my hard drive i just installed mac on to show up in bios. and it freezes the computer at the f2 and f10 selection screen. if i change the drive to slave or any thing elase it will only load with another hard drive of coures but it then puts the bootable hard drive(vista is installed and boots normal if the mac drive is unhooked) who know where it show it is pluged in the cumputer in bios but it wont boot off it and i can only boot the computer through a live linux cd or the install dvd. i put the install cd in with the mac drive and my bootable hard drive that has vist installed and boot up once it loads i select disk manager an no drives are shown except the cd but if i restart unplug the mac drive the vista drive shows up in the disk manager.
help i have a western digital ide 120gb hard drive i installed the mac on.i used uphuck 10.4.8 v2

Make your OSX partition: PRIMARY, ACTIVE, and FORMATTED TO TYPE: 0xAF

You can do this inside of Windows using: DISKPART

or

You can do this using ACRONIS DISK DIRECTOR boot cd.

Until you understand how to better and more easily install OSX86; use 2 hdds.

It will save you tons of time and stress.

thanks but i got a new mac installer and opened up the disk manager and clicked the partion tab selected MBR and it worked.
