Hard Drive Issue
I have a new macbook over 2 months old. Has a 160GB drive. I was uploading some photos and had a message that said my startup disk is full and to make space. I then tried to finish the upload and got errors due to space.
My drive only had 500mb left! I have only enough stuff on this to take up 25-35GB of space.
Has anyone any ideas as to how all the sudden my drive would fill and generate this message.
I dont have room for any tool to b installed and have no idea how to search for file sizes since I am new to mac.
Thanks
Mark

open your finder and right click on 'Macintosh HD' ('Ctrl' + click). Then 'Information'. There you can see how big your Partition is. Check if it is indeed 160GB. If not, then you have unpartitioned space on your harddrive which needs to be set up and formated in order to use it or you already have a second partition which should show up in your finder right below your 'Macintosh HD'
I'm not sure if it's possible to rezise a partition on mac os, but i doubt it. on windows it's possible with some extra software, so correct me if i'm wrong
