Hackintosh Build review
I've been using my macbook pro for editing, and it doesn't really have the power to deal with hd or hdv.
I'm trying to build a hackintosh machine capable of editing hd on final cut studio 2.
Here's what I'm considering right now:
-Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80570E8400
-ASUS P5E Deluxe LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard
-G.SKILL 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
-POWERCOLOR HD2600XT 256MB GDDR4 Radeon HD 2600XT 256MB 128-bit GDDR4 PCI Express x16
-Antec Sonata III 500 Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W
-2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST31000340AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drives in a raid 0 config
-SAMSUNG 22X DVD Burner Black SATA Model SH-S223F
Will this work?
Would I need a better graphics card? Would a quad core at 2.4 ghz be faster for video editing?
Most importantly, how stable is Final cut under hackintosh?
This will work, If you want quad core I believe the extreme ones are cheap now, well kinda cheap xD the proccesor dont matter anyway, I bet with 8gb of ram everything gonna be stable XD
