    Smile Hackint0sh & HP DV5-1060el

    Dear all,
I have just purchased this notebook (Vista and Linux run ok) and I was wondering whether it is possibile to put some Hankint0sh over it. These are the specs:

    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T9400, 2.53 GHz, 6MB cache L2, FSB 1066 MHz
    Memory: 4096 MB DDR2
Screen: 15.4 pollici WXGA (1280 x 800) High Definition BrightView Widescreen
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT, 512MB dedicati
Hard Disk: 320 GB SATA 5400 rpm
Burner: DVD DL Super Multi Lightscribe
Networking: Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN, Gigabit Ethernet LAN 10/100/1000,
    4 x USB 2.0, 1 x HDMI, 1 x eSATA, 1 x VGA, 1 x RJ45, 1 x RJ11, 2 x Uscita Cuffie, 1 x Ingresso Microfono, 1 x Firewire IEEE 1394, 1 x Infrarossi (telecomando), 1 x Docking, 1 x Express Card 54/34, Lettore Supporti Digitali 5in1 (Secure Digital, MultiMedia, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, xD Picture)

I have zero experience with hackit0sh, so I would like to ask the experts: is this a "good" machine for that stuff? do you see some particular hardware that is "difficult" to setup?
Finally, wich "package" should I obtain as starting point?

    Thank you very much!
    L.
PS: I hope this is the correct forum :hack:

    Dear icchansan,
thank you for the reply: i will try it for sure

One more question about Leo4all or JaS: do they preserve the existing disk partitions (with the exception of the one I am installing into )?

    Thank you again

Hi Luigi, yeah they dont touch the other partitions, if windows dont boot just use Windows Disc to repair it and thats it.
