Default Good CPU for a Hac Q6600 or E7200

I have a Intel DG35EC board that had a E7200 on it, and I decided to change out the CPU to a Q6600 (had and extra one). But it seems like the Xbench result are not near as good for the Q6600 as the E7200, does that make sense? I figured with the extra L2 and 2 extra cores the Q6600 would have to get better scores than the E7200. Is Xbench not a good program for multi core CPUs? Any help would be great as I am confused... The board has no over-clocking features, so I am stuck with clock on both.

Not really, laziness mainly - just left the Q6600 in... Still wondering about good benchmarking tools, as I seem to be reading that xbench is not good for multicore?
