Gigabyte P35 system kalyway 10.5.2 no smoking sign
Hi guys.
I'm new to the forum, so first of all hi
I had Kalyway installed on my old system last year at some stage, but removed it.
Tonight i tried to install Kalyway back onto my old computer.
The hardware is as follows:
Gigabyte P35 DS4 (rev 2.0)
Intel core2duo E2160
4GB HyperX Kingston DDR2
Pioneer Sata DVDRW
Leadtek 8600GT 512mb
The computer only has a 40GB Seagate IDE drive in it, as it's just for testing out Kalyway.
Now, i boot up the kalyway DVD, go into disk utility and format the 40GB disk.
After i did that, I tried going to customize and picking out the drivers which i thought would work. The only one i ended up picking is the Nvinject driver.
So i then went to install it. The install runs though fine, and says it has succeeded at the end. The computer then reboots. After that it gets to a grey screen with an apple and a circular loading icon underneath.
After a short period a no smoking sign appears on the apple logo and the computer hangs.
I have tried installing it without adding anything extra from customize, so just a standard installation, but I receive the same end result. I have also tried enabling AHCI mode in the BIOS, but still no good.
Is there anything I can do to get this going?
Please help asap.
Thanks.
