audio works after using the fix from pion's installer for ga-965p-ds3/ds4
ethernet doesnt work out of the box but replace original IONetworkingFamily.kext with the attched one (it has all of the corrected device id's etc for the marvell yukon 88E8056 which is the built in ethernet controller) repair permissions and restart, after using that ethernet will be fine

there are issues when using some osx releases, they will not boot due to an incompatibility with jmicron ide controller, use JaS 10.4.8 AMD INTEL SSE2 SSE3 release or newer this has the mentioned issue resolved

+1 that everything works, all i have to do is install the ALC888 auido fix. LAN and IDE work in the 10.4.8ppf1 DVDs
