Hey guys, I'm building a Hackintosh to supersede my 2008 Macbook Pro. The primary use of this computer will be tracking & mixing.
I will be running Pro Tools 9, and i'm pretty stoked about the performance increase I will HOPEFULLY be getting with this build!

I'm a first time Hackintosh builder, and basically - I would like to build a machine that is as problem free as possible,
and using the most modern HW available.. this way this machine can stay relevant for a bit.

Here is my list - anybody have any recommendations/issues with this set up?

so far everything looks good. tho the 9500GT... you could get a MUCH better card for a tad bit more cash. 9500 is old tech. unless of course you dont plan on gaming at all, then nevermind, haha.

i will be watching this build... as i am planning on building a system almost like that, but ill be using the i7 3.06GHz model.
also, a buddy of mine is a music producer and is always bragging that his powerPC minimac (ahaha yeah) will outperform any hackintosh, and im scared to put my AMD hack against his. figure an i7 running vanilla kernel vs. powerpc g4 MINIMAC? yeah, i7 will eat that powerpc for breakfast in protools.

(my model will be for gaming.)
just please tell me you are going to BUY a copy of snow leopard, not use one of the distros.

Just curious how your Hackintosh turned out. I just finished building one similar to your original build design and it seems to be working really well, I'm just having a couple problems getting PT9 to work... Maybe you have some tricks you've learned from your build?
