Fails to boot after upgrade from 2gb to 4gb ram
I've just upgraded from 2gb to 4gb ram, everything is fine in the bios etc and will boot into Vista no problem.
However when I tried to boot into my Leopard installation it hangs on this message:
MAC Framework successfully initialized
using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers
IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 64:87
I did manage to boot once yesterday after I replaced the AppleACPIPlatform.kext (I think) and then I used the flag "himemory_mode-0" at boot. I thought I had fixed it but after booting up again today it was was back to hanging.
As soon as I take out the ram so i'm back to 2gb it works fine again.
Can anyone out there help me sort this out? I really don't want to have to reinstall everything.
Edit: Specs are Asus P5Kc mobo with 6750 cpu and 8800GT gpu
