So I'm about to build my first hackintosh with a GA-G31M-ES2L motherboard. The only thing I'm unsure of still is the video card. I'd like to use my EVGA GeForce 8800GT with it since I've already got one of those laying around. I believe it's overclocked from the factory. Here is a link to it.

My first question is, will this work well? I've done a tone of "googling" and from what I've seen is this card works with a lot of fiddling...but those are posts from over a year ago. I'll be installing OS X using a retail DVD if that matters at all.

Second question, with that huge cooler on it, I've heard that you can't control the GPU fan on a hackintosh. Will it just run at 100% non stop? How does that usually work? Thanks!
