Dell mini-10v external monitor resolution
I'm looking to develop on iPhone, but only own a trusty dual-G4 based Mac.
The system that intrigues me is the Dell mini-10v, since it is essentially a Mac mini with a tiny screen. Also, it costs $150 less than an intel MM. Ok, that's my background, now for the question on this, my 1st, post:
What is the maximum resolution on the external VGA monitor, that can be set from OS-X? At the Best Buy, they hooked up an LCD to that port but win-xp only displayed 800x600 on it; and it was a mini 10, they don't carry the 10v.
If the 10v external monitor cannot give me at least 1024x768, I'll have to consider another route, or just pay the $499 for an intel MM.
Cheers

It can drive a full resolution monitor. I've had it hooked up to my 20" dell 1680 X 1050.
Of course the downer is that it's VGA.

taylorRiche is correct, Dell Mini 10v uses Intel GMA950 graphics chip, which can drive up to 2048x1536 (max resolution for both analog and digital displays though Dell Mini 10v only has a VGA output port, the chipset itself does support DVI.)
See Intel's official spec here:
