Not sure if a prebuild computer will work, cuz they always use cheap or uATX Mobos, anyway the best way to get all cores working is with OSX Retail using DSDT Patch, and Voodoo kernel, check munkys guide, is in the tutorial forum

re: dell i7 system compatability
This is an old thread, but I did find some relevant information. Some folks on the InsanelyMac forums have apparently had some success getting a Dell Studio i7 system to run OSX86:
InsanelyMac Forum > [GUIDE] Installing Leopard on Dell Studio XPS i7
I'm not sure of the specifics of the machine. Dell apparently sells a few Studio XPS models with the i7 chip. On their website, they sell ones with Radeon 3450's, but I bought one from Best Buy (the MT435) with a 4850.
I've just started trying to follow the guide from the link above, but my personal experience hasn't been very good so far. Booting iAtkos 5i takes a good twenty minutes at the Apple screen with the spinning wheel, and then at the Click button to continue screen, I can't click on anything. (The mouse pointer and keyword respond, but the GUI doesn't).
One suspicion I have is that I'm not 100% sure that I actually have iAtkos 5i since the volume label of the iso is iAtkos_4.1. I need to verify somehow that this is the correct version.

Well, I'm definitely using a USB keyboard and mouse, and they're both detected and active (I can move the mouse pointer around on the screen, and Caps Lock, etc. work). But on the first page of the install screen that says something like "Press the button to continue", I click on the arrow button and nothing happens. That's as far as I've gotten.
The guide mentioned using the fassl kernel, but I assume that I'm supposed to select that when I get to the customization screen. Is there a way to select the fassl kernel when the DVD first boots up?
