    Default Core i7 Compatibility

    Hi everyone,

I was thinking of building a better hacintosh system using the all new Core i7. Does anyone had any successful experience?

    My current system :
    Leo4All v2 (10.5.2) not update yet

    Intel DP35DPM (onboard LAN + sound work with some patching, firewire works OOB) + Intel Core2Quad 9450 @2.66 GHz 12Mb L2 + 4 Gb PC-8500 DDR2 Corsair Dominator + nVidia 8800GT 512 Mb (QE/CI) + 250 Gb & 320 Gb Sata II 7.200 rpm (work in IDE mode) + 16x Samsung SATA DVD Combo (work in IDE mode) + Samsung 2253LW LCD @1680x1050 60hz

    Apps :
    - Maya Unlimited 2009
    - Adobe Creative Suite 4 (Master Collection)
    - Final Cut Pro 2
    - Nuke 5.02
    - Ms Office 2008

Hey, did you ever get this up and running? I was thinking about buying a similar set up and wanted to see if it was a success.

    Hi !
I'm looking for an answer too

I read that Mac OS X uses SSE3 processors, and , it seems that Core i7 is compatible with SSE3(and AMD processors aren't?)..
So I think it would run correctly but I'm not sure..
