    Default Compatibility thread - laptop HP dv6000

    I have the HP dv6599el laptop and would love to install osx but before I proceed I must know if I can do it.

    here is the hardware:

    I don't know if you could do it, but for me it should be not much trouble.

    thing is i'm not sure wich files should i download etc etc. i found a guide but would not want to ruin the computer.

    There would be risk in installing any OS, not just OSX, so preparing to repair/install your existing OS is inevitable.

    If you've got a guide then that is excellent, and if you still don't want to try it then you should not do it at all, PERIOD.

    After all, it is your hackintosh on your computer for your personal interest, nobody else.
