Chimera LX2
Hi,
I have a chimera LX2 from iBuyPower. I know there are MANY threads in here asking if certain build will work, and I am sorry to add to the bunch. I just feel so lost in this area and I have no idea how to find out if this will work or not. If someone would be kind enough to lend me there expertise, and let me know if this hardware will work to install osx on, that would be SOOO much help
Also, I would like to install osx that supports x64, is that possible?
Thank you so much in advanced for your kindness and help int his matter.
Here are the quick specs:
* Intel Core i7 920 2.66 GHz Processor
* MSI X58 Pro Motherboard
* 2x NVIDIA GeForce GTX260 896MB
* 12GB High-Speed DDR3-1333 Memory
* 1TB Serial-ATA-II Hard Drive
* Onboard Gigabit LAN 10/100/1000
* 800 Watt Power Supply

Hi,
A real quick reply.
That is a good system. I've heard many people get OSX running on it, so I don't see why yours is not. Maybe a bit tricky to install and find driver for your video card, but certainly it's possible and should be running in x64 to utilize your system resource.
If you're in doubt then wait for more opinions, or research for supports.
Cheers

Ok, I have never done this before, and looking around there are TONS of different ways and methods to install os x on a pc, but I am not sure which one is right for my type of build. Can someone shoot me a link to a good thorough tutorial that will be best for my system? I just feel lost, I am looking for the right one, but don't have any direction.
Thank you for your assistance, and please let me know of a good tutorial.

There are lots of tuts for your system, and if you already looked through TONS of them then just pick one for your board/cpu.
