Can my computer dual boot Osx?
I decided to check to see if there was any way to build a mac yesterday and found all of this Hackintosh stuff. I figured it'd be a fun little project to get in to, so I was wondering if my current computer would be able to dual boot as one or not. I just ordered another hard drive to make things easier, and even if it doesn't work, I needed the space anyhow, so no wasted money. Anyway, here are the specs:
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-MA69G-S3H AM2 AMD 690G HDMI ATX AMD
Video Card: Leadtek PX8600GT 256MB Standard GeForce 8600 GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor
Ram (X2): G.SKILL 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
CD/DVD Drive: SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model SH-S203N
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EACS 1TB SATA 3.0Gb/s
And it's currently running Vista 64bit Ultimate, if that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance for the help.
If you didnt buy this yet, try to change to Intel... Less problems with leopard, everything else looks fine, good luck.
If you have the AMD processor, then download distros with AMD Support, and patch your installation. good luck
