Hey. First post requesting help... I'm building a hackintosh, and before I get the parts I am wondering if I need a graphics card from either apple or directly from NVIDIA - OR if I could buy a branded one from ASUS, Gainward, etcetera... I can't say I'd like to pay the price for an apple graphics card. And I can't seem to get hold of cards directly from NVIDIA here (in Norway)

So, can I choose simply based on the chipset? Or do I need to keep the producer in mind too?

But am wondering about what is meant by "Works with EFI String"
is some modification of the OS needed? Any extra drivers or some such thing?
