Building the ultimate Hac
Hi, I'm looking to get into the whole hackintosh scene at the moment so I'm just looking for some advice.
I want to buy a pc that i will install a version of mac osx on (preferably leopard) and i was wondering what spec i should be looking at to get full or almost full compatibility. Is there any makes at the moment that meet this spec (something from dell...)
Thanks

Try something like this
or if you want a prebuild one, buy a HP Pavilion Elite, there even reburbished ones on ebay ;D
They have full compatibility, just WINTV wont work on Leopard, but works great on Vista, if you wanna watch TV on your computer
HP Pavilion Elite m9250f
Snow Leopard 10.6.6, Asus IPIBL-LB MOD BIOS, Intel Quad Core Q6600, 4GB RAM (800mhz), 2x500GB, nVidia 8600GT (Works), ALC888S (Works), Wireless RT73 (Works), LAN (Works) -

I wouldn't mind building either of these two configurations that icchansan provided. Are there any places online that can sell the complete configuration, meaning, where I can just click and choose the items below and buy everything in a couple of swift clicks? Tigerd****t seems to not have the Gigabyte model below, nor the Intel version with the Intel CPU mentioned (as a combo pack).
EDIT: and also, is there an OOB WiFI card that can be installed that would work with either configs below?

I'd checkout newegg.com. They've usually got much better prices than anywhere else, and no one beates they're shipping.

I am in the same dilemma. I also want to build the ultimate hac. The motherboards you guys listed all use ddr2 ram... I am thinking of getting a board that uses the intel x48 chipset with ddr3 1600. Does anyone have any suggestions? Will I have a problem with drivers?
Thank you in advance.

I dont think theres a problem with memory, you can always try other motherboard:
Intel BOXD5400XS Extreme Series
Intel BOXDX38BT Extreme Series
Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6
Asus P5E3 Deluxe
These motherboard have DDR3 Support and they will work
HP Pavilion Elite m9250f
