if you're on 10.4.9 you should use your 10.4.8 kexts or use the one referred to in this post: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=47254

Nope... no driver for OS X supports QE/CI on the ATi Radeon Xpress 200M. Though it may be similar to an X300 class chip, it's got different ways of using memory for video RAM. The only driver for it is Callisto (http://omni.110mb.com), which will only allow you change resolution and refresh rate.

No , not only that...X200 is a 'weak' chipset. I mean its not one of the greatest out there , but it uses the CPU to do OpenGL work , whereas graphics card like GMA 950 have been coded to do so and they have somekind of weird memory management. Plus , ATi's OpenGL implementation on that card is weak

Yeah... some cards offload vertex or pixel shader calculations onto the GPU, namely on integrated ones (GMA9xx, Radeon X200 series) as mentioned above. However, doing all the OpenGL work in software would be too slow... so I'm assuming they don't do all of it on the CPU.

Looks like according to Insanely Mac, dopefish has run into a stumbling block with this chipset. Too bad, I have this chipset. While it works for the most part, it would be excellent to get it working for real.
