OK I am a old Mac hand I have a G3 wallstreet a G4 iBook and a PowerMac G4 and a iMac G5. All of them other then the G3 are running 10.5.6.

Now I have done some looking and reading on this forum and could not find any info about this netbook I have.

The specs are a Intel Atom 1.6 Ghz CPU.
1GB of RAM.
120 GB SATA HD.
and it came with Windows XP home SP3 on it.

Now what I would like to know is what disto of 10.5 should I use to get my fave OS in the world to run.

I do have a USB DVD drive that I can use to do the install from.
I know that the WiFi will most likely not work right out of the box, seeing as the card is a Arose card and OS X only will run Brodcom chip sets right out of the box.

I can live with that till I can get the Dell WiFi card to go into it.
I would try to install from a USB key but I know how much fun it is to just get a real mac to boot up and do the install the right way from USB is to do.

So any help or guides that you could point me to would be great.
And any one distro that I should be looking for would help me out so much. You guys are great.

That guide pretty much takes you from beginning to end. you can skip the part where they install ubuntu if you want.

Thanks for that guide but I have one big hangup with it.
The tool pack he talks about can't be run from a PowerPC Mac.
So even though it maybe be good for mac owners or the Intel macs.
But if I had a Intel mac I would not have needed to post here in the first place.

So if anyone could help me with how to use the OS86X tool pack this guy has you use. That would be great.
Oh BTW the Aspire one I have is AoA 150 windows xp ver.
