Advice on a new build from zero
I really want to build a SnowLeopard hackintosh as I`m a mature media student and need to run stuff like FinalcutproHD at home and just cannot afford to pay for Steve Jobs health plan...
These are the two best hardware deals I have found in London, but would like to know if they would be OK (I haven't looked into graphics cards yet, but they are well documented elsewhere)
Asus M4A78T-E Motherboard
AMD Phenom II 955 X4 CPU
G-Skill DDR3 - PC12800 - 1600MHz
Asus P5Q PRO Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad - Q9550
G-Skill DDR2 - PC8500 - 1066MHz
I really don't want to be messing around patching the motherboard bios, and cant find stock of any of the Gigabyte motherboards you listed in your updated list for newbs like me, so am hoping one of these setups would be alright.
If anyone could please offer some advice on this, I would really appreciate it, thanks you!
Heres a guide for Asus P5Q

You can try with that one, or Gigabyte P45. Try to get a Nvidia 8800 or 9800. 2xx Series work too. If you like Ati go with 4850/4870, check netkas site for more info
