    hi,

running osx on any non apple computer is already illegal, therefore i should avoid spending $ on osx. even if you have a legit copy, running it on a hackintosh is against EUL !

seeing as you're going down the 'illegal' path, you may as well go all out, cos in the unlikely event that you should get busted, having a legit copy of osx lying around on a dusty shelf will not alleviate any cybercop enforcement pressure!

    regards,

    btz

Been wanting to build a Hackintosh myself... I am just wondering how it could be illegal to run an OS that you purchased on hardware other than an official Mac?? Is it in the Licence agreement or something?? even if it is.. it seems unlikely that they would come after you for it... they would only lose a potential customer.. Cause I can promise you if they came after me I would never purchase any product made by Apple EVER AGAIN... iPod, Iphone, computer..etc. NEVER... And I would badmouth them to every single person I ran into... seems a stupid thing to do as a company.... if I buy Windows Vista.. I can put it on any hrdware I want... why would Apple care what it got installed on?? I can understand that they would not offer support for it installed on a foreign machine... but legal action seems pretty stupid...

BTW.. I head about a $250 hackintosh hardware setup.. but the search button isnt working for me... can anybody direct me to that post???

    Thanks,
    Ken
