Default Using S-Video out on iPhone 4G

Has anyone done any work with the video out signals on the IPhone dock connector? According to the iPhone Dock connector pinout and wiring, pins 9 and 10 provide S-video. Is it possible to simply wire these pins into an s-video connector and feed it to the s-video input on my monitor? Will any of the jailbreak apps enable this signal and at the minimum allow videos to display on the monitor and at best allow anything on the iPhone screen to be displayed?

You need the following tweak from Cydia Resupported4 - Phoenix-Dev | Software for Jailbroken iPhones to enable video out. Otherwise you need a cable that includes an apple chip.

Does Resupport4 support S-video and Component outputs? Is this a software toggle or a function of the hardware interface?

All official video out cables include a special chip licensed from Apple that authenticates with the Phone/iPod, without this authentication, the phone/pod will display "this accessory is not supported".

Resupported tweak bypasses this authentication from the iPhone/iPod side - this allows properly wired cheaper cables that don't include the special chip to work.

It supports Component and Composite, I'm honestly unsure about whether it supports S-video
