Question [USB Power Adapter] Can US version work in UK ?

I just received my iPhone and it has a US USB transformer (120v). I was wandering if I can plug it into a UK socket (230v) using a plug adapter or I if need to buy a UK transformer.

I tried to search the forum because Iím pretty sure somebody posted a similar question before. However I could not find any relevant thread. An apology for the duplicate if this is the case.

    PS
I have been reading about how to jailbrake it, activate it, must have applications, etc.

Many thanks for all your useful posts. I will let you know how I get on with that.

All the Apple USB Power Adapters sold worldwide are electronically the same (100-240V 50-60hz)

You just need a Travel Plug gender changer.

Dude... no converter needed. I'm in Canada and bring mine to Europe all the time. You simply need to get an adapter because the outlets are sized differently. Take a look at http://kropla.com/electric.htm#plugs

confirmed, no transformer needed, pretty much all adaptors work on 110-240v nowadays

Thank you very much, that's what I though as well, but I did not want to risk to fuse it on the first day I had it!

My iPhone is now charged, activated, jailbroken, and unlocked.

I still need to test it though as my current SIM is one of those 3G ones that do not work with iPhone. A suitable one is on order. (It's now tested with one of my friends sim and... it works fine! )

Thank you all and have a nice start of the weekend (I'm sure I will post something else before the end of it!)
