Default [USB] iPhone not detected in DFU/Recovery mode with different Computers

My iPhone wont boot past the silver apple logo, and neither of my mac's or PC will detect it in recovery or DFU mode (iphuc says "waiting for iphone" or something)

however when i plug it in, a process called usbmuxd runs on my mac.

Any ideas? Personally i think its bricked!

    Jason

    Hi

I no this mite sound stupid but are you putting it into DFU mode like below.

    Just want to make sure

Step 1. Turn off your iPhone.

Step 2. Hold Power and Home button, the iPhone should now be boot.

Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but HOLD the home button.

Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you in restore mode.

no that puts it into recovery mode (as per this thread) and i get the "connect to itunes" logo but no computer i have will detect it... (in recovery or DFU) I'm thinking i have a brick...the USB bridge in the iPhone must be fried...

Just a bit more background what started this problem, was you installing something on the phone or did it just crash on you for no reason.
