[Unexpected Event] Washing machine and iPhone are not friends.
So I woke up this morning and went to get my phone out of my pants only to find they weren't there. Right away I knew it was going to be a bad day. Sure enough, she put them in the washer with my 3 week old iPhone, Keys and Wallet in the pockets.
Right away I took it out. I've disassembled it to let it dry out, but it will not power on (as expected). So my question is, what could be wrong with it? The battery seems to be ok (checked it with a test light), so I assume it's one of the circuit boards.
My next question would be; where can I find the replacement parts?
Thanks in advance.

If that's your wife i hope you've filed for divorce. If it's your mother, get her sold on eBay!!

You must be married too.
I've priced out the replacement parts and it would be easier to just get a new phone. F'n sucks.
When is the iPhone v.2 supposed to come out? Maybe I'll just wait for that.
Thanks anyways guys.

I got a similar disaster, only SHE left it her plastic bag and a bottle of mineral water, the Iphone got a drink and wouldn't turn on, I stick it into the freezer and let it dry out with the earphone orifice and on off upside down. After some time it started working with few problems, the last row in the keyboard eys will click on the above keys like i want the back slash I get the V instead. Sent it to Apple they returned as is, when I called them they told me they found out that water leaked inside and YOU CAN TELL WHEN YOU LOOK INTO THE EARPHONE JACK; IT SHOWS PINKISH COLORS.
I think a bath of ethyl glycol or similar will suck out the moisture.
I also found a post that talks about an electic drying device that is used to fix and dry out hearing aids, looks like it is 100% working and safe.
