my gf dropped her iphone in the sink full of water - we put it in a bowl of uncooked rice and silica gel for about 4 days... initially it was dead..... then it started to come back to life..... you can still see some of the moisture under the LCD screen but its slowly going away... But at the moment the battery doesn't want to hold a charge...

how did it take you 5-7 minutes to get it out? If my phone fell in the toilet, I'd reach in there and get it in a split second... even if there was any waste in the toilet.

    Congrats on the recovery.
But I feel I should caution you. The water inside the phone will eventually start to eat at the contacts.

The way I see it your best bet would be to carefully take the phone apart, and dry out any moisture left. Normally cotton q-tips will work good. Also take a can of air and srpay any part to push out hidden water.

You have already voided warranty since it got wet, the little dots inside have changed color so no loss to take it apart. But from past experience in fixing cell phone and pagers it most likely will die again in the next few months.

    Good luck..
