Hey guys,
i from germany and fucked up my touch screen its fall down a hole Floor , the funny think it has no fucking scratches, and now the downer part, for example slide to unlock doesn't work anymore.
I live in germany and i dont think apple will repair my iphone,also when its released @ friday here.

so i want repair it my self, call me crazy, but that my iphone is broken is like pain in the ass

so i have some question

1. will my iphone work when i only change the screen ? or its more ?
2. what is the difference between Apple iPhone OEM LCD screen and Apple iPhone OEM complete LCD with digitizer pre-installed
3. is there a way to put the slide to unlock bottom to the "topper part" ?

Hi, Im sorry to hear about what happened. But, I'm pretty sure you can fix it with a screen replacement.

1. I'm pretty sure that replacing the screen will fix your problem, but there are no guarantees. if it doesn't, you could always resell the replacement screen and then sell the rest of your iPhone for parts.

2. You must get the screen with the digitizer, the screen with no digitizer is virtually useless because it does not have the touch part installed on it, so you must get the one WITH THE DIGITIZER.

3. No clue? Umm maybe? '

I have replaced my iPhone screen and it now all works perfectly.

how about if i cracked my screen pretty badly..but everything is still fully functional..all touch functions..slide to unlock..etc..do i still need to buy the lcd screen with the digitizer or can i get the one without?

All you need is the glass part, not the screen or the digitizer, though I don't know if it is sold separately anywhere.

Its true, all you need is the digitizer, but you cant just buy the digitizer separately. So you must but the LCD with the digitizer with it. Or you can try to do the $5 dollar mod when you replace the glass with a piece of polycarbonate plastic. But thats mighty tricky...

ok thanx for the response..guess i'll just pay the extra $$ and get the lcd with the digitizer..the tricky part is that i dont live in the US so i'm gonna be sending it to the US (miami,fl) to get fixed..any suggestions on which company to send to?..so far i was thinking rapidrepair..any other suggestions? preferably as close to miami as possible..thx

i think screen is glued with digitizer, so you connot buy seperately

Yes, it is glued on to the digitizer, however, it is possible to remove a cracked digitized from a intact LCD. It is just very hard to do, and then you have to go about replacing the digitizer with some other material. My suggestion would be polycarbonate...

anyone has a good source to get these screen+digitizer for a good price?

I have a broken iPhone with intact glass front. The Touchscreen is not working in the lower part where the 7-9 numpad is. Commboard is broken as well.
Can't use it so I would be selling it. It is also in the flea market.
All in all I want to have 150 Euros incl. shipping from Germany!
