My touchscreen was flakey for a few days then up and died completely.... my understanding is very limited, but could this perhaps be the flex ribbon cable? it seems to me with the circumstances to be the most likely, seeing as it was flakey for a while - cable loosening/breaking - then completely dead all of sudden...

As I said my understanding is very limited so can anyone confirm if I'd be on the right track? and could point me in the right direction for info on how to take the thing apart, tools etc
