[TouchScreen] Bottom part unresponsive

The area outlined by the red line in the picture indicates the part on the screen that is not responsive to touches. Not sure whether it's a hardware or software problem. No physical damage found though.
Tried restoring, it didn't help. Also tried to replace 1.1.1 general.plist into my 1.1.2 general.plist for the touch sensitivity adjustment, when i slide to 16, it really goes less sensitivity, when i slide to 0, it still the same..

But someone from another forum told me that this is surely software problem, but he have no time to teach me how to do it.. Any solution?

if heard of this before..
if youve tried everything apart from replacing the screen i sujest you replace the screen
www.pdaparts.com sell the screen for a god price and theres a video on there showing you how to take apart the phone and fitting the screen

Oppss not all touch screen problem are hardware related right now i have same problem, i tried 3 different LCD panel but didnt work.
right now im looking forward for this problem any smart ideas are welcome here.

Yes..
i think this is LCD compatibility issue, i found out that there are two types of LCD ribbon another one with green ribbon and another one is brown.
And that fixes my problem and it works
