Friend of mine dropped accidentally something on screen of iphone and it just broke. Now it has a visible line from left to right part of glass.. Any ideas where can i purchase only glass for it and if is it repairable at all?

You can buy replacement glass on eBay, but replacing it is difficult and it will NOT be "good as new". Here is the glass I found:

The glass is attached to the touchpanel using optically clear goo, so you would have to cut and scrape the broken glass off the touch panel. This is a great risk of damage to the touch panel digitizer. Supposing you managed to get the broken glass off the digitizer without harming it, it would be almost impossible to find an optically clear adhesive goo exactly the same as what Apple uses, and even if you could find that, it would be almost impossible to keep dust/dirt/air bubbles out of it while gluing the glass onto the touch panel. It would probably be better to just use an adhesive to attach the glass at the top and bottom and leaving airspace between the glass and touchpanel. At night it would look about the same, but daytime visibility would be affected.

A proper repair involves replacing the entire glass, touchpanel, and LCD assembly as a unit and will cost US$150 for the part alone.
