    Default Replacing iPhone screen....

Well i bought a 4gb iPhone from eBay for $185 with a cracked screen with the hopes of Fixing the broken glass with plastic. But When i was scraping the glass from the screen i accidentally cracked the actual screen!

So i went on eBay and found a replacement screen with digitizer for around $110 including a silicon skin, iphone opening tools, and a screen protector. So i was expecting the lcd to come today and when i dident i got impatient. So i successfully took apart the iPhone. Now all i need is the screen and i should be in business.

Just for reference, I followed the iPhone take apart instructions.

Here are some pics of the iPhone taken apart:

Here are some (not very good) pics of the phone reassembled:

Alright, There is a black latch on the main motherboard on the iPhone that is for a cable, i know that you flip it 90 degrees so it is up to open it, but i can not remember what way i push the latch back down to close it? Is it towards the top of the iPhone or the bottom? Can any one here help?

EDIT/ I figured it out, its closes away from the battery!! /Edit

Alright, I received my new screen today and i have successfully managed to put it in my iPhone. But now, when i turn it on all i get is a white screen. Does any body know what i should do or what this means? I have made sure all of the cables were connected all the way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am not much help at this but I justed had to comment and say I realy admire you for actually doing this, I would never have the balls to buy a phone like this from eBay or any other place and then try to repair it...

Anyway I hope you make it work, post a "screenshot" when it's done
