Default Replaced LCD, screen still doesn't work

So I just spent the last few hours taking my iPhone to pieces to put in a new LCD and I'm back to square one. There is just no life from the screen, no light no nothing. I'm assuming it can't be the LCD now, what else could it be?

My only suggestion it to take it apart and retry it all again, make sure you are 100% sure that all of the connections are properly plugged in. They can look like they are plugged in but really they aren't. I had a lot of issues getting my replacement screen to work. Also, i suggest that you plug the flat ribbon cable in last of all those cables, because when i plugged that one in first it made it impossible to connect the rest of the connections properly.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks I'll try that, it was a proper bitch trying to get that motherboard back in and I ended up pulling the flat ribbon cable up from the surface it was stuck to just so I could get it all together.

I broke the plastic bit the ribbon cable goes in to actually but only one side a little, and not actually near the contacts but I thought I got away with it.

    *edit*
A few more details that could be of concern. I didn't want to change the touchscreen cos that works, I only wanted to change the screen so I pretty much had to destroy the screen to separate it from the digitizer. The new screen had a plastic peel away cover thing over the screen when I got it but it also seemed to have one over the back as well. When I went to remove it actually turned out to be part of the screen and I put it back, seemed weird though, didn't seem to do any damage and it can't have been delicate cos it had some glue crudely applied to stick it in place.

Just peering in it now and I noticed that one of the cables isn't attached to the motherboard, it's either the digitizer or the screen and the digitizer was working the last time I checked. Fingers are crossed.
