    Default [Repair Center] Recommendation ?

Still cant connect the phone via USB to itunes and now think it is most likely a hardware issue.

Can anyone recommend a US based repair center for hardware replacement?

    Many thx

LOL. Originally thought it was a software issue as when connected to USB, itunes doesn't see the phone and the computer doesn't see it. Did the usual reinstalling itunes (deleting the right files first) many times, trying different cables, different macs, windows machines. When connected to XP it says it only sees an unknown device. No lightning icon comes up in the battery monitor when connected but it does charge via USB, slowly. Also tried replacing the Lockdownd file on advice of other members as well as other things. Because itunes cant see it there is no way to restore so its a catch 22. Tried to find out whether you can restore over wi-fi (as that works perfectly) but it seems impossible.

So after trying all the things I can find on the net as well as some other things on my own I have come to the conclusion it is probably hardware related as nothing else seems to work. There is some thought that plugging iphones into external speaker systems (like the Bose) screw up the electrics in which case its a new logic board, otherwise it might be the USB port on the bottom.

Any ideas or thoughts gratefully accepted.
