    Default Proximity Sensor not working

    Hey all,

Recently my iphone proximity sensor stopped working on me. I have no clue why... I tried restoring the firmware to see if something went haywire but nothing. It's getting annoying waiting for the screen to goto sleep while I'm in a call. I wanted to know if its possible to change a setting in a plist file so when I'm in a phone call when I click the power button it turns off the screen instead of hanging up.

Any info would be great. Thanks!

can you still hear through the ear speaker? Usually the proximity sensor is automatically turned off when you have headphones plugged in or speakerphone.
    Thumbs up if i helped.

    Unhappy

The earphones and speaker work fine. I'm really at a loss as the iphone is imported and therefore not covered under warranty. Is there a work around which can lock/turn the screen off manually during a call?
