screen defect? please help
I had purchased an iPhone a few days ago and opened it just now. When I turned it on I noticed that the apple logo was not in perfectly-filled white color, but showed something in the center similar to a crack. There was some discoloration in the bottom "leaf" part too as seen in the picture below.
But when the phone finish loading to the activate screen the problem disappeared/became unnoticable.
I tried restoring the firmware but the problem didn't go away. The phone came with 1.02 firmware and I just restore with 1.02 as well. I didn't know if this problem was a defect of the screen or only happened with the starting logo. It didn't look like it was the same problem as some people describing dead pixels. I was going to unlock the phone but decided to put that on hold. I didn't even force activate the phone because I may need to bring it back to the store.
So What should I do? just live with it and unlock the phone, hoping it's only the apple logo screen? I don't want to bring it back to the Apple store if possible, since in my opinion they may either try to upgrade the firmware to 1.1.1 to see if that will solve the problem, or give me a replacement iPhone which will probably have 1.1.1 on it already. That won't do good for me if I plan to unlock the phone...
