Iphone2G replaced touch screen unit now no touch

Hi,

I have an iphone 2G 4gb that I got a new screen after trying to replace just the glass. That didnt go well because I cracked the digitizer. Got the unit installed it, and no i dont get any touch or home button working.

I've restored the OS on it and still nothing. Per the connectors. I've checked them both on the MB and the ribbon cable, they don't look damaged, when installing they click into place, but still no touch. Any ideas?

Otherwise phone seems to be functioning correctly. Wake/Sleep button works, itunes picks it up, syncs, etc.

any help would be appreciated.

Hooked it up and checked the Console using Organizer and see this...

Some update. Was able to get the touch to work after all. I had to add more pressure to the ribbon cable where it contacted the Mother board and clipped in.

Problem was not enough pressure was on it even though it made a click sound.

Now the Home button doesn't work though. Any ideas? The ribbon cable that goes to the MB if that doesn't make good contact would that cause it? Phone charges/syncs/etc.
