Hi, i know you posted this a year and some change ago but i did what you show in the picture and broke the lil capacitor off my iPhones logicboard...my question is, is there anything that can be done to fix this? I'm not an expert but it looks to small to soder and where would you find a capacitor like that even if you could?
I changed the battery of my 3gs and I had the same problem of signal for a year.
I had to start using it since 4 moths and no money this days to buy a new iphone so the signal problem was terrible. BUT yesterday I drop all my battery ( I accidentally do that like 3 times this month) and the phone turn off, then when I charged the battery it have all the signal. and when today I moved for the city the phone never loose the signal strenght. now I have all the bars. its magic ... lol
I was thinking to sell the phone as a bad functioning iphone for nothing of money, but now it works really good.
I always thought this was a hardware problem or something broken in the antenna, but now I think that maybe depends of the battery cycles. or not?
the iphone its working really good.
Maybe the capacitor itself fails to do some task to perform. You better bring it to the Iphone Center so that they will be the one to distinguish what would be the reason.
