Iphone 3G Missing DIODE

Hi all I`m new to the forum so I would like to thank all in advaced for any help
I got a phone from my friend and would like to fix it the problem i as follows:

on the back of the iphone 3g next to the flash module there is two black diodes one of them broke off. What are they called and where would I find one of them - It has the no. 97 written on it and if I use my multimeter corectly I get a reading of .500 of the one. I have atteched an image. ALso would it be worth trying to fix this. Phone doesnt show any sign of life but when I attache it to my usb port windows say usb port malfuction so it means somthing is happening. If I'm correct those diodes are for audio out in the earphone/handsfree plug.
One for each stereo channel.

If you have one dead iphone 2G or ipod touch logic board you may use it as spares.
I wil verify if they are the same.

Thanks for the reply. thought it will never happen :) do you know if this will cause the phone not to display anything on the screen and error on pc when connecting to USB.
