Iphone 3G Missing DIODE
Hi all I`m new to the forum so I would like to thank all in advaced for any help
I got a phone from my friend and would like to fix it the problem i as follows:
on the back of the iphone 3g next to the flash module there is two black diodes one of them broke off. What are they called and where would I find one of them - It has the no. 97 written on it and if I use my multimeter corectly I get a reading of .500 of the one. I have atteched an image. ALso would it be worth trying to fix this. Phone doesnt show any sign of life but when I attache it to my usb port windows say usb port malfuction so it means somthing is happening. Thanks in advanced
If I'm correct those diodes are for audio out in the earphone/handsfree plug.
One for each stereo channel.
If you have one dead iphone 2G or ipod touch logic board you may use it as spares.
I wil verify if they are the same.
Thanks for the reply. thought it will never happen :) do you know if this will cause the phone not to display anything on the screen and error on pc when connecting to USB.
Thanks for info
Any distinct suggestion what the values or references are?
