So all I did was plug my 1.1.4 unlocked iPhone into my speakers (done it hundreds of times) and now it's dead. It randomly rebooted for a while, got really hot, ran the battery down and now is totally dead. I can't force it into recovery mode, it doesn't seem to respond to being plugged into the wall charger for three different Macs. I suspect it's now an iBrick but does anyone have any other ideas of how to resurrect it?
what kinda speakers, soundfs like you got a hardware problem now, maybe fried commboard, also i am fixing your title

The speakers are Altec Lansing InMotion iM600 (http://www.alteclansing.co.uk/prodda...otion%20iM600). Not technically iPhone compatible but has worked fine in the past....
It does seem like something got fried... R.I.P. iPhone... :(

Bender knows all, and is very wise, it sounds like a fried commboard, if i were you i would look in the hardware section if you want to replace it, if you want to call it a loss and dont want to throw it in the trash you could ebay or send it to dev team for research. Certainly there is a hardware problem, but how can you tell if there is a fried commboard? Especially if the iPhone works only if it is attached to the dock?
I have been using the Altec Lansing InMotion iM600 speakers for several months with no problem. I am glad I read this before it was too late. Using a non apple approved iPhone docking station is just as risky as any software unlocking software.
My guess is that your Logic's board PMIC (Power Management IC) is fried. This happened to my iphone after charging with an old iPod firewire charger.
This seems to be a quite common problem, and to me it looks like some bad hardware design that causes this to happen.
