    Default No service

After changing the front glass and LCD, battery, buttons and rear housing (basically everything but the mainboard) I too have converted my iphone to an ipod touch :/

I get the message - No service ..... Awaiting activation, this may take some time.

I called 02 and they checked my sim status etc.... and suggested i call apple as it sounds like a hardware issue.

    Default silver paint repair

So have I. I replaced the screen but did not realise I had broken off the blue inductor on the antenna supply wire. Once I found this I followed the suggestion to just short over the two inductor leads with a silver conducting pen. I bought paint instead and it worked but I thought I would make it better with a second application. Unfortunately the paint spread around the capacitor and possibly under the adjacent shield. Back to square one with no signal and the antenna now shorted to the the earth. Any suggestions how to flush out the silver paint ?
