    Default No Service intermittant problem

    Hi all,
I have an iPhone v1 which developed a problem where it displays "No Service". But sometimes it starts working (without doing anything) and you get 5 bars of signal and the phone works perfectly for a few hours.

I have tried to see if it's related to heat / time on / mechanical stress. I don't think it's simply a loose connection or damaged antenna or connector, I have taken the antenna cover off and it looks OK.

I can change the comm board next. But is there anything else which could cause this? The power supply to the comm board maybe? Anyone had a similar problem?

And before I do it, is it worth to reprogram the baseband? What tools would I use to do that? Right now the phone is on 2.1 unlocked with QuickPwn, I don't know what it was originally unlocked with.

    Thanks for any advice.

I just used bootneuter to upgrade the bootloader and baseband to 4.6 - unfortunately it hasn't helped

I have the same issue. No service, and time to time working ok. I think this is a hardvare issue (maybe antenna) ?
