Only the iPhone LCD will work on the iPhone. The digitizer and LCD are permanently attached to each other on the iPhone, so even if the iTouch used the same LCD assembly there's no way of taking it out (believe me, I have tried...).

Actually I managed to separate a broken screen from the digitizer. LCD got trashed in the process but just as I was about to give up it just came away. I pretty much had to dig through the back of the LCD.

    Hi is_leah,

Did you send your iphone to theiphonemedic.com to get fixed?

    Were they ok?

I have managed to crack my screen as well, and was looking for a decent place to do it. Another forum mentioned this place http://it.minidigital.com.au/ipod_repair.html but when I sent them an email it bounced back, so I'll try calling them a bit later.

Would be intereted to hear if iphonemedic were any good.

    :iphone:
