Does anyone know the Main Problem of the Keyboard BUG for iPhone 2G Phones? (Backspace, Del, Space, etc.)

Is it a Hardware or Software Problem? How to fix it?

If you're talking about hitting a key and having the wrong key respond, this is hardware. My bottom row of keys (letter/number swap, space, and return) when pressed would activate the key directly above the finger tap. This is a known (but not well publicized) hardware defect in the screen/digitizer. Apple will swap for a like-new refurb unit (although I expect you'll need a valid wireless contract for them to do so). I bought an AT&T contract when mine went bad so I could get the swap.
