I there, I'm trying to use my Iphone 1.1.4 with my JVC head units via JVC KS-PD100 iPod adapter, The head unit says 'checking file system' but doesn't progress, I can use it only if I cange the input settings on my radio as standard device but I can't control it by my radio buttons. There is any hack to let the adapter to read the iphone library?

I had the same adapter in my car and it wouldn't work either with 1.0.2 or 1.1.1.

The message for me was the same on both versions, something like "This accessory is not designed to work on iPhone".

I'm honestly not sure if Apple can add support for devices like these later or not.

I've changed cars to a new VW Golf now and the iPod adapter in that doesn't work either with an iPhone.

Some people have recommended putting the iPhone in air plane mode and turning off then back on to get it to work with some devices but it has never worked for me.

Just a guess, but I think the reason is the iPhone only supports USB while the head unit adapters require serial. It wouldn't surprise me if the iPhone doesn't have the pins for serial at all.
