i have a old iphone2g first gen (i use as i cant affored a new one ) and over the last month the LCD screen pixels started to go (orginal only a few) now the a circle of deadpixels covering w,a,s On the onscreen keybord are dead but the touch still works on that area

i was looking at getting
iPhone 1st Gen Replacement LCD Display Screen with Digitizer - iPod iPad iPhone Parts & Repair Services
but is there away to just replase the LCD display and glass without a new digitzer ?
