So I waited in line for a few hours today and I got one. It's pretty slick so far. The web browser has a lot of potential for cool web apps and it's nice and snappy.
I'm curious to see what the hackintosh crowd will be able to do with this device. They say it's locked down, but i'm not convinced. What additional (software) features would you guys want to see on the iphone?
The first major stumbling point of having this phone is you have to sign up for ATT. As far as I could tell there was no way to use any of the phones functionality until it was activated in itunes.
Has anyone been brave enough to take theirs apart yet?
What kind of storage holds the OS? can that storage be read? modified?
Hopefully some brave soul will be able to answer these questions and more as the next few weeks go by and the hype dies down.
BTW, I just checked the Apple website, and it lists just about every Apple store as having them in stock. I guess everyone camped out for nothing.

i waited in line for 3 hours at an apple store and was paid a nice sum to do so.
then i waited at an at&t store closer to home and bought one.
when i heard that store sold out, i sold my iphone to someone for a markup.
then i went to an apple store and got me a new one at retail price.
all in all it was a good day and i ended up with a profit!
