iphone 3gs LCD Lights not Working

After replacing my iphone 3gs LCD the lights are not working. I have tried the same LCD + Digitizer in another iphone 3gs and the lights work fine!
I suspect it is the logic board since I tried an LCD replacement (defective) which caused the logic board to overheat.

Is there a way to fix this? Everything else in the iphone is working fine.

There is a coil on the motherboard that might need to be replaced. I don't have the details handy but if you search for coil, water damage, backlight 3GS you should find it.

Replace this coil (6R8). You can get it from ebay or some defective iPhone 3GS
