Default iPhone 3G weird screen problems...suggestions are welcome!

Hi, after a few searches on google i have figured out that many iPhone users have peoblems with their devices screen.I have a 2 day old 3G, is jailbroken and unlocked via Turbosim, everithing seems ok, but the screan is not responding sometimes: when reciving calls, or on the home screen when i would like strart an app, and in other situations as well, but as i sayed only sometimes, and after a quick tap on the home button the screen will work again.

My question is, should i return my phone to this dealer to change it before things may get worse, or maybe a restore would fix the problem?

Please give me some suggestions, i really need your advices.

Well I say you do a restore and this time unlock and jailbreak it with Quickpwn. Then look if the screen is working or not. If the screen doesn't works again then you should be headed to your dealer.

You can chek out iClarified to see how you can use Quickpwn.

    Good luck.

Thanks for your response, I will do as you say but before restoring my phone there is one more thing I would like to ask, plz.

-Is there any other way to activate my phone after restore, without jailbraking it??So I could test it for a few days in its original state??

(optional: -About 3 days when I bought my phone it was already jailbroken, I had the default icons on the home screen plus Cydia and a so called Quickpwn shortcut to a website, I guess the second was the unlock utility...but as I dig deeper inside Cydia and the installed packages I have found a package called "yellowsn0w and other team tools "(v. 0-1). I have the feeling that yellosn0w and quickpwn is 2 different unlocking utility...how to figure out which was used??)

Plz guys, help me...i am really a noob at this point in all of this unlocking thing...

ok...so I have followed instructions here:

iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak Your 2.x.x 3G iPhone Using QuickPwn (Windows) (Comments)

and restored and jail braked my phone again using quickpwn...everything worked well, but after a few taps (and installing BosPrefs), the screen started again the same problem (did not respond sometimes).

So tomorrow I return and change the phone...BUT...that will be bricked so I guess I will have to start the quickpaw process from step 4 (jumping step:1,2,3 which means restoring in iTunes by holding shift+"restore", because this will not show up in iTunes because the phone is bricked)...

plz...confirm if I am right so tomorrow if I face the dealer I will know what to do...

    Thanks!!
