iPhone 3G touch screen not working after replacing the glass
The title basically says it all..i broke my glass and lcd for the iphone 3g and replaced it...when i finished i turned on my phone and i tried sliding it open but it doenst respond..i thought it had to do with the number 3 cable but i was reading and i dont think it was that...can anyone please help me...thanks..

There are a couple of things to try. Reset using the home and power buttons (hold both for a few seconds.
If that doesn't work, then disconnect the screen and clean the contacts with a damp acohol swab and reassemble. If that doesn't work consider your replacement touch screen as defective and ask the seller for an exchange. Some of these items are dodgy and can be faulty/DOA

alright thank you...should i be putting the alcohol pads on the LCD screen to wipe it down? and i contacted the people who i got the screen from and they just said to make sure everything was in correctly so i think they should replace it for me..it probably is defective

ok so i wAs told that it has nothing to do with the LCD screen if it turns on..i was told is has to do with the glass and the digitizer...which one is it? please help! i dont know who to go after since i bought it from 2 differnt people

It's the connector 2 that you should check. Either the connector is not seated properly, or you may have damaged the flex cable during the install. 95% chance it's one of those things. If both things check out, you should maybe try doing a restore.

i tried a restore..didnt work...do you mean the connector for the digitizer screen or the connector for the LCD?
